Hi, I’m Echo Blum.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS). I am a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist who supports individuals seeking healing, emotional balance, and personal growth. I provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore life challenges, process emotions, and reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways.
In addition to being a LCSW and LCAS, I’m also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200). I am trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I work with individuals ages 13 and up who may be facing anxiety and stress management, depression, ADHD, trauma and PTSD, life transitions and adjustment issues, self-esteem and personal growth, grief and loss, substance use and/or behavioral addictions (i.e. gambling). I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Previously, I worked with Veterans facing problematic substance use and addictions in both group and individual settings.
I’m happy to speak further with you to see if I am the right therapist for you. Please click the button below to schedule a free 15-minute intro call.
My Approach
My approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy. I offer practical tools and resources so the work we do together continues outside of session, helping you build skills that support long-term change. Therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to help you feel empowered as you move through life’s challenges. I use an integrative approach tailored to each client, drawing from EMDR, somatic-based therapy, CBT, CPT, mindfulness-based therapies, polyvagal theory, relational psychotherapy, and parts work. I work from a strengths-based, multicultural perspective and strive to create an affirming space where all identities are respected.
We go at your pace, you're always in control of what we try, and nothing is forced. Together, we will work to navigate distress, uncover resilience, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, aligned and fulfilling.
Beyond Talk
Therapy rooted in mind-body alignment. Drawing from various methods, I approach therapy working from the top-down (targeting maladaptive thoughts and emotions) and bottom-up (working with tension in the body) with the goal of regulating the nervous system.
Lasting impact
You will learn tools and skills to use beyond the therapy hour - in the real world, when you need it the most.
